Cut Paper Garden
An angular floral repeat inspired by folded paper.
The imagined brief
This fictional brief explores a bolder geometric floral language. The motif is constructed from pointed petals and a small round centre. Its silhouette can read as a flower without using botanical detail or copying a particular plant.
The pattern decision
Rotation changes the energy of each unit. A warm cream ground gives the rust, green and lilac shapes enough contrast while keeping the arrangement soft. The drawing is a flat vector pattern; no product, manufacturer, material certification or commissioned collection is represented.
The complete repeat is shown without cropping so the relationship between motifs can be assessed. A future project could explore alternate density or scale within an agreed scope.
